The Kind Llama Collective is dedicated to supporting unhoused and housing-insecure students by bridging the gap between education and basic human needs. Through community partnerships and direct-to-family services, we provide essential resources such as food, clothing, school supplies, and access to mental health and family support services. By meeting students where they are—with dignity, compassion, and care—we work to remove barriers to learning, promote stability and well-being, and empower young people to focus on growth rather than survival.
We believe every child and family deserves to be treated with respect, compassion, and humanity.
Our work centers dignity—not charity—by meeting students where they are and honoring their lived experiences.
Learning cannot happen without safety, nutrition, and emotional well-being. We recognize
education as inseparable from mental health, physical care, and family stability.
We are committed to reducing systemic barriers by bringing resources directly to students and families,
especially in communities with limited transportation and services.
Lasting change happens through connection. We value partnerships with schools, nonprofits, businesses,
and public agencies to create a coordinated, community-driven support network.
Kindness is not passive. We believe in responsive, hands-on service that adapts to real needs and
responds quickly to crises faced by unhoused students and their families.
Students are at the heart of everything we do. We prioritize their safety, privacy, emotional health,
and educational success in all programs and decisions.
We serve all of the High Desert!
Including: Apple Valley, Victorville, Adelanto, Hesperia, Phelan and some parts of Lancaster.
